Public defender seeks funds for special mental health service

Cook County Public Defender Amy P. Campanelli is hoping to create an in-house mental health resources unit that would help attorneys identify mental health issues with their clients over the course of the next year.Campanelli highlighted the proposed unit in her budget testimony before the Cook County Board of Commissioners Tuesday.
