Britt Miller is Managing Partner of Mayer Brown’s more than 350-lawyer Chicago office, where she practices in the areas of antitrust litigation and complex commercial litigation. She is also a co-leader of the global Antitrust & Competition practice. Britt focuses on representing domestic and international corporations in price-fixing, market allocation, monopolization, and conspiracy cases, and has also counseled clients on general antitrust issues.

Since joining Mayer Brown in 1998, Britt has been involved in numerous antitrust cases including In re Vitamins Antitrust Litigation, one of the largest antitrust cases ever filed in the US. Her antitrust work has involved a variety of products and industries, including computer hardware/software, insurance, food products, synthetic rubber, aspartame, resins, household moving services, consumer health products, industrial chemicals, paper products, financial services, fertilizers and vitamins.

Britt’s litigation experience spans both the federal and state court systems and includes client representations relating to contract disputes, constitutional rights, securities fraud, banking practices, airline deregulation, products liability and trust interpretation. She has led multi-lawyer litigation teams on high-profile matters, including representing Delta Dental Plans Association in a multi-district class action accusing the association and its member companies of violating antitrust laws; CDK Global in a series of antitrust class and individual actions alleging anticompetitive practices in the automotive technology space; and The Big Ten Conference in a litigation against the NCAA and several conferences related to compensation to student-athletes.

Britt’s pro bono work includes securing innovative rulings that reunited two Brazilian migrant mothers with their children after being separated due to the Trump administration’s border policy.

Britt is a member of the American Bar Association’s Section of Antitrust Law and the Section of Litigation, as well as a member and former president of the Lyric Opera of Chicago Guild Board, a Trustee of the Chicago Symphony Orchestra, a member of the Chicago Botanical Gardens Guild Board, a member of Rush University’s Medical Center Associates Board, and a member of both The Economic Club of Chicago and The Chicago Network. In 2019, Britt was named to Crain’s Chicago Business’ “Notable Gen X Leaders in Law” list and named by the Anti-Defamation League as a “Women of Achievement Award” honoree for her efforts to improve communication and understanding among the diverse racial, religious and ethnic communities of Chicago. Britt additionally has been named a BTI “Client Service All-Star” and a “Rising Star” in the Antitrust Litigation sections of the Illinois Super Lawyers list published by Law & Politics for the past six years and as a “Future Star” by Benchmark Litigation for the past five years. In the 2014-2019 editions of Expert Guides: Women in Business Law, Britt was recognized as an expert in the field of “Competition & Antitrust,” and she has been named one of The National Law Journal’s “40 Under 40” in Chicago.
