An industrial machinery company waited too long to pursue its claim over the damages it sustained after a neighboring building’s roof was ripped off during an October 2010 windstorm, a state appeals court ruled Thursday.The detached roof struck nearby power lines that connected to M&S Industrial’s building in the Humboldt Park neighborhood, creating an electrical surge that allegedly damaged machines M&S uses to create sophisticated metal components.M&S alleged it had sustained $2 million to $2.5 …
