Illinois courts to close as storm arrives

With winter weather advisories hitting the state, courts including the Cook County Circuit Court and Illinois Supreme Court are announcing closures.The National Weather Service is predicting significant and problematic snow accumulation, wind speeds causing blizzard conditions, and extremely low air temperatures and wind chills on Friday.The Circuit Court of Cook County will be closed Friday.Initial bail hearings in the Pretrial Division, otherwise known as bond court, and juvenile court detention hearings will be held …
