Pointing to conflicting evidence about the size of a sidewalk seam, an appeals court has ruled a jury should get a crack at deciding a trip-and-fall case against the village of Oak Park.The 1st District Appellate Court this week ruled a trial court was wrong to grant summary judgment for the village because it wasn’t clear just how big of a crack was in the Lombard Avenue sidewalk and whether poor lighting and other pedestrians could have added to the danger.Justice Terrence J.
