A Chicago attorney was suspended on an interim basis after he pleaded guilty to lying to bank officials about improper loans to his businesses.James A. Regas, 89, was indicted in 2012 by federal prosecutors in Chicago for the insider loans made to his businesses while he served as chairman of the lending bank.As part of his plea, Regas was sentenced to one year in prison.
