A Cook County jury awarded more than $5 million to a man who lost of the use and feeling in his left leg below the knee following a 2013 hip replacement surgery.A verdict was reached Friday after a trial before Associate Judge Mary R. Minella.On June 25, 2013, Jesus Torres had a scheduled left hip replacement surgery at Thorek Memorial Hospital on the city’s North Side.
