Duo of new laws change hiring rules

SPRINGFIELD — Gov. J.B. Pritzker signed two employment-related bills Wednesday — one that changes rules for fingerprint background checks for candidates in the health-care industry, and the other which prohibits employers from asking job candidates about their salary history.Senate Bill 1965, now Public Act 101-176, modifies the Health Care Worker Background Check Act.
