ARDC board wants suspension over misuse of client’s funds

A southern Illinois attorney should be suspended for a year for misusing about $3,470 in client funds, an Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board found.Paul M. Storment Jr., a sole practitioner in Belleville, was charged in a two-count complaint that alleged he dishonestly misused client funds and made false statements to the ARDC.Storment denies allegations of misconduct.The charges stem from Storment’s representation of Charles Rives for damages following a car accident.In November 2017 …
