High court takes case of $100 bet

SPRINGFIELD — The Illinois Loss Recovery Act offers those on the losing side of an illegal bet a way to get their money back. Now, the state’s top court will review whether that law can apply to wagers made through a third-party sports gambling website.The Illinois Supreme Court allowed plaintiff’s Colin Dew-Becker’s petition for leave to appeal in his dispute against Andrew Wu.
