Phone passcode gets Fifth Amendment protection

An officer’s order to divulge a phone passcode after an arrest violated a man’s Fifth Amendment rights, a state appeals panel found.In June 2017, a Rock Island County sheriff’s deputy pulled over a vehicle with Michael Spicer in a passenger seat.
