Trio of priest abuse cases settle for $2.8M

Three men who alleged they were sexually abused by ex-Catholic priest Daniel McCormack as boys have settled their lawsuits against the Archdiocese of Chicago for a sum of $2.84 million.The settlements were reached Feb. 1 after pretrial meetings before Cook County Associate Judge Elizabeth M. Budzinski.Trials in the three cases were set for this November, December and in February 2020, according to the plaintiffs’ attorney, Eugene K. Hollander of the Law Offices of Eugene K.
