Cook County Circuit Court: The circuit court will remain closed on Thursday. Here are the details from Chief Judge Timothy C. Evans’ order.
You won’t find court action happening, but the county has announced that the Markham, Bridgeview, Maywood, Skokie and Rolling Meadows courthouses are open as 24-hour warming centers through Thursday.
Illinois Appellate Court
The 1st District Appellate Court in Chicago is closed Thursday.
Over in Elgin, the 2nd District Appellate Court won’t open until noon.
Same thing in Ottawa — the 3rd District opens at noon Thursday.
Illinois Supreme Court
The Supreme Court clerk’s office in Chicago is closed Thursday.
The Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts will open its offices in Chicago at 10 a.m. Thursday. The Springfield office will open at 9:30 a.m.
U.S. District Court
As of Wednesday afternoon, the Northern District of Illinois has announced it will be open Thursday.
7th Circuit
The 7th U.S. Circuit Court of Appeals will be closed Thursday.
