Attorney faces suspension for frivolous suits, $200K penalty

A Chicago attorney should be suspended for six months and until he pays more than $200,000 in a sanction order for filing a frivolous lawsuit, an Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Review Board found.Dennis James Stolfo, a sole practitioner, has been sanctioned by various courts at least five times in connection with a 2004 lawsuit he filed on behalf of his client Mary Iacovetti against her former employer, KinderCare Learning Services Inc.Stolfo was charged in a one count complaint in December 2016 that …
