Six new Cook County circuit judges named

The state Supreme Court this week appointed six attorneys to fill Cook County Circuit Court vacancies.The high court named Gerardo Tristan Jr., Kerrie E. Maloney Laytin, Sondra N. Denmark, Lynn Weaver Boyle, James T. Derico Jr. and Michael A. Strom to the bench.Denmark will take the bench Dec. 27, while Strom takes the bench on Jan. 10, Tristan’s and Weaver Boyle’s appointments take effect Jan. 11 and Maloney Laytin and Derico will start one week later on Jan. 18.“This is the greatest honor that has been …
