McHenry County motorcycle crash victim to get $5.5M

A man who sustained multiple right leg fractures in a McHenry County motorcycle crash has settled his lawsuit for $5.5 million.The Monday settlement is higher than any previously reported McHenry County verdict or settlement, according to John L. Kirkton, editor of the Jury Verdict Reporter, a product of Law Bulletin Media.The prior high McHenry County award was a 2007 $4.35 million medical-malpractice settlement involving an infant who sustained brain damage.On Oct. 6, 2015, Randy L.
