Report suggests ways to combat harassment in political campaigns

SPRINGFIELD — A panel of women elected to state office have issued a set of recommendations to fight sexual harassment within political campaigns.The Illinois Anti-Harassment, Equality and Access Panel suggested that statewide political parties make financial support contingent on the “baseline of changes” it outlined in a 37-page report Wednesday.The panel wants party leaders and campaigns to adopt the recommendations in order to change culture and behaviors that have “allowed sexual harassment to …
