New HLAI president wants more Latinas in legal profession

Hispanic women comprise only 1.9 percent of associates and 0.4 percent of partners at law firms nationally, according to the latest study of Latina lawyers by the Hispanic National Bar Association.The low percentage of Latinas in the legal profession is one issue Juan Morado Jr. hopes to address as president of the Hispanic Lawyers Association of Illinois.
