Chief Judge Evans given go-ahead on budget suit

WAUKEGAN — Cook County’s chief judge can proceed with a budget lawsuit against the county board, its president and the treasurer, a Lake County judge ruled today.The Cook County Board of Commissioners and President Toni Preckwinkle moved to dismiss the case in December, arguing Chief Cook County Circuit Judge Timothy C.
