SPRINGFIELD — A rider who was kicked by a horse in Missouri cannot sue for injuries under Illinois law, a state appeals court has determined.The Springfield-based 4th District Appellate Court this week upheld a judgment against the woman who claimed violations of the Illinois Animal Control Act as well as negligence, arguing that the horse’s owner knew the animal had a violent propensity to kick.The two women were riding near each other on a trail in Eminence, Mo., in August 2014 when the defendant’s …
