A state appeals panel on Friday ordered a new trial to determine how much in damages a former Southwest Side coach owes after sexually assaulting one of his 14-year-old students in 2012.Former Ashburn Community Elementary School teacher Idris Bridgeforth never participated in the civil lawsuit filed by the mother of J.E., an eighth-grader Bridgeforth coached on Ashburn’s track and basketball teams.
