ARDC: One-year suspension over cocaine charge, client handling

The Attorney Registration & Disciplinary Commission Hearing Board recently called for a one-year suspension of a Grundy County attorney for allegedly possessing cocaine and failing to act with reasonable diligence in representing a client.Elizabeth Ann Johnson, of the Law Office of Elizabeth Johnson in Morris, was charged by the ARDC administrator in a four-count complaint, according to the hearing board report filed Wednesday.Johnson was accused of engaging in dishonest or deceitful conduct by making a false statement …
